Together with Hatfield CID (City Improvement District), Peaceforce Security Group is transforming Hatfield, Pretoria, into a Safe City.

Peaceforce has created a safer environment for the students, customers, and businesses in the Hatfield area of Pretoria.

Increased security guard presence

Peaceforce Security Group’s security officers have created a safe working and walking environment in a united crime fighting setup with Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) by patrolling on foot, in motor vehicles, and on motorbikes across the Hatfield precinct. The combination has yielded great results, as there have been major arrests relating to shoplifting, vehicle high jacking syndicates, theft out of motor vehicles and pick pocketing.

The University of Pretoria branch at Hatfield has, in the past, been a target of crime and the establishment of the CID Hatfield crime prevention project combination of Peaceforce, TMPD & SAPS has paid off.

The parties benefiting from this project in the area are the University of Pretoria campus and surrounding residential flats, the banks  – namely, Standard Bank, Capitec, Nedbank and FNB. Additionally, the fast food restaurants like McDonald’s, Nando’s and Spur and the many other shops located around the streets along Leon St, Bennet St and Hilda St are paroled. The vehicles also patrol all the way up to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium and offer assistance during the rugby and football match days when pickpocketing is rife.

We provide integrated, intelligent security solutions

We have partnered with iOTT (Internet of Things Technologies), who specialise in the supply and installation of intelligent security solutions.

The power of iOTT’s solutions lies in their software – not their hardware – so they are able to take your existing security cameras and integrate them into our Safe City model. Businesses’ cameras are connected to Peaceforce’s control centre, where our guards are able to view what is happening and respond immediately, because they are in the area and don’t need to be called from a third party location.

Our aim is to transform Hatfield into a safe city model that can be duplicated across metropolitans in South Africa.
